Because of the Internet, it’s now easier than ever for photographers to make money from their photographs. And you don’t even have to be an experienced professional. Some stock photo sites will accept your photos even if you’re an amateur or hobby photographer.

  1. Stockxpert and Zymmetrical have both gone out of business, although Stockxpert is still used as a portal to Getty's other stock agencies. Crestock only pays 25 cents per download, so I would avoid them. And iStockphoto pays only a 15% commission.

    Anyone interested in selling their photos through these agencies would do best to read the terms closely.
